Francis Douglas Westneat

Francis Douglas Westneat, born on 11 October 1920,  was the older of Billy Westneat and Blanche Westneat's children. Francis was born in Sydney, New South Wales. Francis enlisted in the Royal  Australian Navy during World War II on 20 September 1937 at the age of 16, service number 21630. His home port was Sydney, NSW. Francis listed Billy as his next of kin and was mustered out of the Navy on 21 April 1942. He was listed as an Able Seaman assigned to the HMAS Penguin at the time of discharge. Francis was married to Naomi Edney.  They were later divorced.  Francis died in 1970.
